Hearts and Minds
Published in Paperback by Millivres Books (01 July, 2001)
Author: Jay Taverner
Average review score:

More of the Same Please
I enjoyed Jay Tavernerfs last novel, eRebellionf so much that I decided to buy eHearts and Mindsf too. Best thing I did this month. I was hoping for a Lesbian Historical Love story of the same calibre as eRebellionf but, what I found was even better than Ifd hoped for. Jay Taverner brings back our heroes from eRebellionf and also introduces the new heroes Lucy and Bron.
As I already read eRebellionf it was great hearing about Bel and Hope again but, I donft think it is necessary to go out and read eRebellionf to be able to enjoy eHearts and Mindsf as this novel is really a story of itfs own. eHearts and Mindsf is an emotionally encapturing novel of womenfs courage and strength living in the manfs world that was the 1700fs. Excellent almost painfully real characters. I canft wait for the next Jay Taverner novel.

Hiroshima in America: Fifty Years of Denial
Published in Hardcover by DIANE Publishing Co (June, 1995)
Authors: Robert Jay Lifton and Greg Mitchell
Average review score:

The truth about American policies toward Hiroshima!
HIROSHIMA IN AMERICA: FIFTY YEARS OF DENIAL is required reading for a class I am presently taking on Hiroshima, but it should be required reading for everyone in America. I found the book to be both interesting and intriguing. The authors, Lifton and Mitchell, give a very detailed account of how the Americans treated and responded to the dropping of the A-bomb and its effects on the Japanese people living there. HIROSHIMA also offers insight into the political action and reaction of the bombing with unbelievable documentation and research from the War Department and the White House. For those in America who may wonder about the events surrounding the bomb, HIROSHIMA IN AMERICA offers one of the best sources of information by far!

HIV and the pathogenesis of AIDS
This is really excellent book about HIV. It is easy to understand but contains nearly all advanced recent topics including history, immunology and pathogenesis of HIV. Especially for the students who study HIV, this is the best reference for general and specific knowledge.

Home Buyer's Checklist
Published in Paperback by McGraw-Hill/TAB Electronics (December, 1993)
Authors: Richard M. Scutella, Jay Marcinowski, and D. Heberle
Average review score:

These checklists are essential to buying a home!
As a first time homebuyer, I was intimidated by all of the things that can be "wrong" with a prospective home. This book explains the essentials of everything on the extensive checklists. Definitions are given in words and pictures for everything you should inspect.

This is not the only book you should read, but I strongly recommend it as part of your arsenal.

Home from the War: Vietnam Veterans: Neither Victims Nor Executioners.
Published in Hardcover by Simon & Schuster (April, 1973)
Author: Robert Jay, Lifton
Average review score:

Illuminating the Lie/still healing
I have had this book on my shelf since 1992 when it was re-published. I first saw the book with my friend Robert McLane, who is quoted in the chapter on "Zones of Rage and Violence." Bob was one of my healers during a time of ongoing depression back in the 1980's. We went our seperate ways so hello BOB! I next saw the book with a vet in Phoenix during the winter of 87-88 again with depressions. He helped me along my journey.

I was afraid to open it up. My healing took a long time. I can say that Lifton's advice about encountering the false, counterfiet cliches about that war are essential for healing and now as I am reading it in retrospect, I can see how much work I really did. The reinforcement about not-lying to oneself or others about the heinous dimension of the Vietnam War and the anti-war activity that we were engaged in is of great historical importance, for all time. All wars that may evolve from this great country are encased in a fabric of semi-truths. It is up to us, the citizenry, to interpret reality without blindly following orders.

Lifton has done us a service. We are healers and so he has given us new life. Jim Willingham
